Hello every one I am not sure if I am putting my note in the right board but hope fully some one can help me,
I am researching my family history in England and one or two families went to Canada,
Iam looking for a James Lawton and his wife Ada Moon born Otley Yorkshire and daughter Mildred , Adas mother went to Canada and died in Cobble Hill in 1949 her name Rebecca Elgie Riddle Moon, she was 88 years old and originaly from North Shields. Mr Lawton and his wife visited England a couple of times and in the passenger lists it states he is a farmer. Some of my family moved to Vancouver Island in the 1920's and 1930's, some of their names were Wilfred Lawton, Bernard Lawton, Kathleen and Annie. One of their children was called Ruth but I do not know what her surname was. She was quite religious and wrote a book on the Lawton family and how they relocated from England to Vancouver Island. She had a son called John who would have been born around the 1970's. I want to find a copy of this book as well as information about this side of my family, the original members who emmigrated were of 17 children who came from the north west of england. Any info will be gladly received. if any one can help me in any way I would greatly appreciate it very much. |
